Each year Eastern Alpaca Group host an autumn halter show. The show is open to all BAS registered alpacas and is a great opportunity to have your alpacas appraised, meet other owners and enjoy time amongst friends.
The next show will be held on 7/8 October 2023

Opening dates for entries are announced on the website and via social media in the summer. Once entries have opened you can head over to the BAS Pedigree Registry and choose your alpacas via ‘Manage my Herd’. Entries close on the closing date or when full. There is normally a maximum number of around 140 entries so make sure that you enter as soon as possible to avoid disappointment!

The show is normally run over a Saturday and Sunday. Exhibitors arrive on Saturday afternoon and judging takes place from early on the Sunday morning. Each exhibitor has their own penned area in the venue and overnight security is provided. One of the highlights of the show is the meal for all exhibitors, officials and volunteers on the Satuday evening.

A discount on the entry fee is given for EAG members. This entry fee includes the BAS levy and VAT. Grassroots will collect the full fee upon entry and EAG members will be refunded the difference by EAG. A charge is made for pen cleaning (collected by EAG), but this amount will be refunded if your pen is cleaned. Electric hook up fees are also collected by EAG.
