AGM and Vet Talk 27 September 2020

EAG Members are invited to participate in a zoom call on 27 September 2020 starting at 11.15. This will comprise a talk by Westpoint Farm Vet, Ami Sawran, entitled “Top reasons for vet calls over the winter months” and will be followed by the Eastern Alpaca Group AGM. The event is free for members. If you are not a member but would like to join in for the vet talk, the cost is £25: to arrange payment, please contact us.

Dr Ami Sawran will be well known to EAG members as a local vet who has a special interest in Alpacas. She presented a birthing workshop for us last March. Ami qualified from Liverpool University in 2011, after which she completed an internship in production animal health at the Royal Veterinary College, where she also studied for her PhD. She is currently clinical director of Westpoint Farm Vets in Chelmsford. Ami is very enthusiastic about camelid medicine, and is working towards her advanced certificate in camelid practice. She also heads the Westpoint Small Ruminant and Camelid Group, and the Camelid Special Interest Group for VetPartners, where she also sits on the Production Animal Clinical Board.

Eastern Alpaca Group

After the vet talk, Eastern Alpaca Group will be holding the AGM for EAG members only. The agenda for the AGM is:

  • Receive Minutes from last AGM
  • Chairman’s Report
  • Show Report
  • Treasurer’s Report
  • Election of Committee Members
  • Consideration of previously notified business
